She holds 11 U.S. patents, 1 China patent, and 3 U.S. trademarks for her product designs, brand names, and logos. In July 2021, FunkkOFF!® launched its flagship product, FunkkOFF! TeethRefreshers®, marking a groundbreaking moment in portable oral care. In February 2023, Joelle appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank®, where she secured a $250,000 equity deal from Robert Herjavec. Under her leadership, FunkkOFF!® received multiple prestigious awards, including the International Grand Prix Du Design Award for Consumer Products, a Gold Stevie® Award for Women in Business Start-Up of the Year, and a Silver Stevie® Award for International Start-Up of the Year. The brand has been featured in leading media outlets such as Inventors Digest, NBC News, Travel & Leisure, Los Angeles Times, SHAPE, Real Simple, and Essence. In August 2025, Joelle successfully exited and sold FunkkOFF!® Inc., marking a celebrated milestone in her Entrepreneurial journey. A lifelong Entrepreneur, Joelle started working at just 14½ and put herself through the University of Delaware, earning a degree in Consumer Economics. By 22, she became the youngest stockbroker hired at Bank of America, trained in Tower II of the World Trade Center and managing over $350 million in assets. Since then, she has built, scaled, and successfully exited ventures across fintech, real estate, and startup consulting—consistently combining sharp strategy with meaningful impact. Dedicated to empowering women and youth, Joelle founded and served as the first Executive Director of the Orange County chapter of Girls on the Run, a nonprofit inspiring young girls through confidence and fitness—an organization FunkkOFF!® continues to support annually.
